Our Board

The St Andrew’s board is comprised of a majority of independent non-executive directors with a range of skills and business experience, as well as a thorough understanding of the insurance and financial services industries.

Mr Don Humphreys
Chairman
Formerly the Chairman of the Foodland Associated Limited (FAL) Group and Managing Partner of Ernst & Young Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers in Western Australia, Don has also held roles on the boards of numerous other high profile companies.

Mr John Van Der Wielen
Managing Director
John has worked in the insurance and financial services industry for 20 years and is currently Managing Director of each of the St Andrew’s companies. John is also the Chief Executive of the HBOS Australia Insurance & Investment Division within the HBOS Australia group.

Mr Ray Willing
Ray is currently a consultant in the insurance market specialising in regulation of life and non-life insurance companies. He previously held roles of CEO with Fortis Australia and the NRMA (now IAG).

Mr Rodger McArthur
Rodger is currently Managing Director of Bank of Western Australia Ltd and Chief Executive Group Functions for the HBOS Australia group. He joined Bank of Scotland in 1966 and has held a number of senior executive positions within the Bank of Scotland Group, including Managing Director within the Personal Banking Division. In September 2001, Bank of Scotland merged with Halifax plc and Rodger was appointed Head of Network Sales across both brands.

Mr Chris Whitehead
Chris has 20 years experience across the financial services and information technology industries. Chris joined Bank of Western Australia Ltd in 1997 as Chief Information Officer. He was appointed General Manager Emerging Business in 1999 and Chief Executive, BankWest Consumer Solutions in 2001. He currently holds the position of Chief Executive Retail Bank within the HBOS Australia group.
